Tonight's event at Perdu Ochtendgebed voor als het nog donker is // hoe gedicht lichaam wordt in 10 stappen is canceled and will be postponed to a date to be determined as both our guest speakers and the Perdu organization have decided to participate in the global solidarity strike with Palestine.

The strike is meant to show support for the rights, freedom, and safety of Palestinians and to condemn the atrocious war crimes the Israeli army is inflicting on them. As Gaza is now the site of an intensification of years of Israeli occupation, annexation and genocide, western governments including the Dutch government pledge full support for Israel, insisting on its "right to self-defense". Instead, they should hold the Israeli government to account and call for an immediate end to its criminal actions.

We join the strike because we stand firmly with Palestinians. We join the strike because we want an immediate stop to Israel's unprecedented violence.

We call on all people to join this strike, to speak out about the ongoing acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the civilian population of Gaza, and to act in solidarity with the Palestinians.
