Following up on last season's The 90s - Sneak Preview!, Perdu reprises the "benshi" format but now turns the lens onto the spectacle of sports. (After all, most of us only experience sports through the movies.) In the style of a benshi, or live narrator from the silent film era, performers will remake scenes from classic sports films with a fresh voiceover or soundtrack!

Broeder Bloempot is a Dutch band, 'a local, lo-fi, livingroom band'. Listen to their music here.

Maarten van der Graaff published his first poetry collection, Vluchtautogedichten, in 2013 and won the C. Buddingh’-prize 2014 for best debut. His second book, Dood werk (2015), is nominated for the J.C. Bloem Poëzieprijs. This summer, he will publish his first novel, Wormen en engelen.

Helena Hoogenkamp writes prose and plays. She graduated at the HKU Writing for Performance in 2014. In November 2015, she debuted with a chapbook called Kleine zeemeermin, per ongeluk dood at Literair Productiehuis Wintertuin.

Elten Kiene is a spoken word artist and co-founded the popular event Woorden Worden Zinnen. He is also part of the hiphop collective Brandwerk and performs regularly as a MC as well as with his own work.

Soula Notos is theatermaker, storyteller and comedian. She graduated the Theaterkade in Amsterdam with her play Doctor, what do cowgirls dream about? in 2005. She currently performs her Who are you when no is looking.

Lisa Weeda is writer, programme maker and co-host of the literary podcast Ondercast. Her writings have appeared in e.g. Das Magazin, De Revisor and hard//hoofd. She published her first chapbook, De benen van Petrovski, at Literair Productiehuis Wintertuin in 2016.

Adam Wilson is the author of the novel Flatscreen, a National Jewish Book Award finalist. His stories have appeared in e.g. The Paris Review, Tin House, and The Best American Short Stories. He teaches creative writing at New York University and lives in Brooklyn.
