Acclaimed international poets Ishion Hutchinson and Valzhyna Mort come to Perdu for an evening of readings, artistic collaborations and cultural intersections. Hutchinson is the author of House of Lords and Commons (2016), which recently won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry. Mort's most recent collection is Collected Body (2011); her earlier book, Factory of Tears, was the first bilingual Belarusian-English poetry collection published in the USA . The poets' writings will be showcased alongside work by Amsterdam-based artist Elena Beelaerts and Berlin-based artist/publisher Jason Dodge. Choreographer/dancer Miri Lee will bring in collaboration with composer and electronic musician Jongkag Park a piece called 'Grand Line - Void Text'.
Valzhyna Mort's work will be introduced by Katelijne Brouwer, participant in Perdu's Writing About Poetry workshop.
