Over Artaud
‘In Artaud’s later work, approaching it, it is as if all the paths run out. It cannot be treated as literature or as poetry. It does not fit into any form we recognize. There is masses of it: notes, letters, litanies, diatribes. Moreover, it all has to betaken at the same level. His correspondence is as much a "work as art" as a piece that formally states itself as a poem. This work is full of inconsistencies – he includes the waverings of his thought as well as the new insights that came from these waverings.’
‘For the Flames’ en ‘No Flowers for the Manmade Desert’.
